Spring May 2013 Get Your Yoga
Springtime is a great time to connect to your divine feminine and whether you practice Yoga or Belly Dance there is an energy in the air like no other in the spring. We all know the feelings of spring.
Feelings of wonderment and joy and and the possibilities of new ventures, being outdoors more feeling the earth beneath you and the warm rays of the sun just transform your whole being.
Gardening, walking, breathing more fresh outdoor air.
We gracefully can connect from winter to spring by awakening our minds bodies and spirits.
Experiencing the magic of spring, the new blossoms, green grass, and tulips and daffodils
We can imagine ourselves as well blossoming and growing and welcoming the ability to change and expand in our lives. The most important is love, to love ourselves our bodies and our existence and then share that love with all those we meet and interact with in our lives.
With the up most joy of spring I look forward to sharing with you the joys of Yoga and Belly Dance this spring. Let us get together and feel alright.
Namaste

8 Weeks Change Your Life Series with Livnutrition
8 Weeks Change Your Life Series with Livnutrition
12 of us started on Jan 14 2013 to change our lifes with Yoga and Holistic Nutrition
We completed it March the 4th 2013
The first week we emlimated which is pretty well in anything that was packaged Sugar
SUGAR was the biggest hurdle that I found to avoid as it is in everything and has so many names to disguise it.
Each week we emlimated more
Then Alcohol
Then Caffeine
Then Gluten Free
Then Dairy
There was a lot of moaning and groaning from the Group the first 3 weeks but after that it settled down, we found you could eat healthy and make your own meals to avoid the heavily processed foods.
Each week we were introduced to a new food item etc. and shared recipes on line and logged our eating choices on a online program.
The group support was amazing, the weekly Treat was awesome to try a new item and as well you could order it from the Baker.
The group was really starting to bond by week 4 and we all realized we had our own battles, some of broke down and had something not allowed but there was no beating yourself up for it, just getting back on track.
I have learned that Caffeine was really affecting my sleep and I now not drinking caffeinated drinks coffee is out. (Decaf only when I have one) I am intolerant to beets, and I think maybe a bit lactose intolerant, as when I ate some cheese after the program I did get quite a reaction.
I realized I needed more fruit in my diet and making choices what my body would want, not my mind, so if my body would choose it was always a healthy choice.
The next session starts April 15th for 6 weeks the program has been shortened by two weeks as we felt it could be done in less.
Anyhow, we all learned a lot great information on food, beverages and overall health choices and I am planning on keeping on the program and using the 80-20 rule I know I will always have somethings not ideal for my body but if I can keep focused 80 percent of the week on a healthy change and allow myself the opportunity to eat something or drink something 20 percent of the time that may not be the greatest choice I can live that :)
If your interested in learning a healthy way to eat and make life choices please join the next session with LIVNUTRITION for healthy way to change your life with eating and you can either do just the nutrition series or you can do Yoga and Nutrition together.

YOGA CONNECTIONS
In my teaching yoga life I was able to see this happen and experience this special connection :)
you see Yoga is so much more than the asana poses.
you see Yoga is so much more than the asana poses.
The time we spend or have spent together week after week is therapeutic, energizing, and healing in the most profound ways. When those blissful experiences are shared with yoga friends, I believe the positive benefits you feel are compounded.
Our connections with one another remain as rock solid as mountain pose. You will always practice yoga thinking of someone a teacher or of the women, you have practiced with you there is always connections happening in yoga, from the laughter to the tears, and when you experience these connections you can't help but be filled with gratitude for the gift of their friendship.
The energy we share results in these unique connections, and radiates in the room when we practice.
To date these two yoginis Susan and Jo are the most unique connection I have ever seen since starting out this yoga teaching journey and I am so happy to see them when they practice yoga together, we feel like two sisters from a different Mother is how they put it to me.
From my heart to yours, Namaste. Cathy
